Accessibility Services

Accessibility services can be found on-site at Loscon, next to the Registration Table. Anyone wishing to have accessibility assistance should check in with them and obtain a ribbon to designate access. You do not need to wear the ribbon to obtain access services, but please have it available.

Disabled attendees with visual and/or hearing-related impairments will be seated by our Accessibility Services department as close to the front of the room as possible. We also reserve seating areas for other disabled attendees including those with wheelchairs – and our Accessibility Services team will assist you in any way possible to help you access these seats – but we will not guarantee seating near the front to anyone other than for visual and/or hearing impairment issues.

Contact Access services for direction to Accessibility Lines that include some chairs and early access to the Ice Cream Social (Friday evening) and the Masquerade (Saturday evening).

Loscon panelists are at floor level, so those with accessibility issues do not need to be concerned about access to risers or stages at any panels.

The LAX Marriott Hotel is currently remodeling their convention area, we are not aware of any issues that this will have on accessibility during the convention. For details about accessible rooms and amenities at the hotel, please see Marriott’s Accessibility Page for more information.

If you have accessibility issues not addressed by this post, please contact our Access committee at: access@loscon.org
