Welcome to the annual Loscon Ice Cream Social.  This is a 50-year tradition where we serve different flavors of ice cream and all the toppings.  Here we announce the Even Freehafer’s award for outstanding service to the Los Angeles Science Fantasy Society.  We also announce the Forry Award for dedicated services to science fiction. Come mingle with our Guests of Honor, and enjoy the fun. 

Following the ice cream social this year, we will be showing the original Star Wars trilogy back-to-back.  After the trilogy, we will be handing out ribbons that say:  “I sat through the original Star Wars trilogy.”  We encourage everyone to come dressed up in their favorite Star Wars character.
