Harassment of any kind, including physical assault, battery, deliberate intimidation, stalking, or unwelcome physical attention, will not be tolerated. If people tell you NO or to leave them alone, your business with them is done. If you continue to attempt to have contact with those people, you may be removed from the premises. The Chairs will only make a final decision after verifying any evidence that the Code of Conduct has been violated at the convention.
“No” means NO,
“Stop” means STOP
“Go away” means GO AWAY
If you have tried these measures and and if someone doesn’t understand these simple rules, ask Convention Operations or any convention staff member for assistance in contacting the appropriate authorities, i.e.: Hotel Loss Prevention and/or the police. We will be happy to support you through the process.
Any attempt to have an innocent person removed from the convention by falsely accusing him or her of threats or harassment will be itself treated as an act of harassment and will be referred to Hotel Loss Prevention to be dealt with appropriately. The responsibility for settling interpersonal disputes lies solely with the individuals involved, and Loscon will not be involved in such disputes. You place your membership in jeopardy should you try to involve us.
As well, please be aware that any action or behavior that causes significant interference with convention operations, excessive discomfort to other attendees, or adversely affects the convention’s relationship with its guests, its venues or the public is strictly forbidden and may result in permanent suspension of membership from this year’s convention.
